  1. After researching and shopping around for our sliding door replacements, my wife and I decided to go with Preferred Windows. Simply because of the product they carry and the professional service they provide. On the day of installation, the manager even stopped by to check on the progress to ensure everything goes smoothly. I guess it's always included, but we're pretty happy when they replace old moulding around the doors with new (fancier) ones and painted it. Overall they did a very good job and very easy to deal with. I'd definitely recommend them.

  2. We got about 4 different quotes for replacing all windows, including re-sizing one window and replacing a geometric window. Not only did Preferred provide the best quote, they were the only company who also was able to paint. They replaced all windows, painted the entire house/detached garage/patio, and installed a beautiful French door we fell in love with in their showroom. Preferred provided 3 quotes for different window types but we ended up going with Anlin because of the great quality. Bryan and Jenny at Preferred were great. They are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions about the product and window/door features you may have. Definitely visit their showroom in Brea to see the product in person and to get a better idea of what you'll be getting. The installers and painters were great. They were led by Sergio, who was always there to make sure everything was perfect. He was very easy to work with and answered all our questions. The crew installed windows in 100+ degree heat and never once complained or slacked off. Polo did an awesome job with the paint. When everything was complete, Bryan came back to make sure we were happy with the work and answer any questions we may have had. The windows have been in for about a week now and the difference is VERY noticeable. We live near a busy street and have noticed the reduction in noise. The house is also considerably cooler, especially the master bedroom, which gets the afternoon sun. I would highly recommend Preferred to anyone looking to replace windows and/or doors and having their home painted.

  3. I had 5 windows recently installed from EMG. EMG was referred by one of my friend. I did my home work and I had gone to Home Depot, Lowes, and some of the local window shops around El Monte. The quality of the windows is on par or better than the top brands from Home Depot and Lowes, with much better price. It is slightly more expensive than the local window shops around El Monte, but the EMG has top name brand such as Anlin, not cheap imports from China. It's been about 2 months since installation and the windows looked great!

  4. We have several wood frame windows that don't open/close properly and had someone come to fix a few, but he was too expensive. So, we were wondering how much it would cost if we replace them instead, then asked Preferred Pacific Construction to get a quote. Bryan came over and introduced vinyl ones, but he also commented that he would not replace wood frame windows with vinyl ones for this house because it could depreciate the house value and lose the historic feature since we live in the nice historic neighborhood. Then he looked one of our windows and advised us to go to Home Depot and buy a Dry Film Lubricant to wax the metal sliding area of the frames. What a honest guy!! He could just sell us the vinyl ones without telling us about possibility of depreciating the house value. We took his words and went to Ace Hardware and bought a lubricant. :) Great customer service! We will call him again when we decide to replace with new wood frames in the future!! Thank you, Bryan!

  5. I don't recall the exact expression from the public relations field but it goes something like this..."it is not how a company behaves when things run smoothly, it is how a company behaves when there is a problem or crisis that truly shows who they are." I am happy to say that in the infamous words of former Minnesota Vikings NFL head coach, Dennis Green, "they are who we thought they were". And in this context that is a very, very good thing. In January of 2013 we opted to go with Preferred Windows (for various reasons) after receiving bids from a total of four window companies. Truth-be-told, Preferred Windows was NOT the lowest price but their reputation via the Internet, a personal referral and our "gut feeling" indicated that they were the right company for the job. We had them install new retro-fit Anlin windows for half of the windows or sliders in our condo. Since we had recently purchased the condo and already incurred many other significant remodel expenses we decided to do half of the condo at this time. In early December of 2014, we incurred a "semi-mysterious" leak at our condo after three days of unusual and relentless rains. I say "semi-mysterious" because many theories flew about from various contractors until someone was willing or designated to cut into the wall to try and discover where the leak was originating from. Until you open up a wall there will be so many "Shades of Grey", not to be confused with "Fifty Shades of Grey" (currently playing in theaters) that your head will spin. And even once you open up a wall it is possible there are multiple causes depending on where specifically the leak occurred. And water, like ants, has a tenacious ability to find its way in the smallest of places. From the very beginning, Preferred Windows was on top of the situation even when the cause was unknown. From their front office staff, to their installation techs to their ownership they were professional throughout and showed genuine concern and consideration for our perplexing situation. This is why when we look to finish our windows for the second half of our condo we will look to them as our company of choice.

  6. This company painted our house and replaced all of our windows. Overall, a great company to deal with. They had the best price out of all the quotes we got and their product, Anlin window systems, looks great and holds up well. We have had our windows since this summer and we are still loving it. New windows can make such a difference on the aesthetic of your home... the new paint job really enhanced everything of course. Preferred Windows also helped us customize a cat door into the glass sliding door in our living room, and our cat Wawa really loves it. She is free to go in and out without needing a human's helping hand and that makes her puurrrr. The paint job crew were great. Israel the leading manager for the paint crew was courteous and worked hard. The entire house was painted in 2 days. The window crew were great as well... David and his team installed brand new windows for upstairs and downstairs in 3 days. The third day was the day to final touch everything and they installed the windows beautifully. Owner Tony, was polite, sincere and pleasant to deal with. We did have a couple minor issues and our cat door did not arrive until a month later but the company did follow through and made everything right. The owner also came over a couple times throughout the job to check on progress and see how the workers were doing on the job and I thought that was really nice. Some places can just take your money and do a sloppy job but this company cares about building lasting relationship with their customers. Overall, I would recommend Preferred Windows if you need new windows or paint job.

  7. I was very impressed with everything thing about this company, from the saleman who came to the house to the lady who owns the company, who we went to see to talk about pricing and the the installers. Some of the most professional folks I have ever dealt with. They said what they would do and did what they said and followed up on something that wasn't right. A most impressive company from A to Z. I don't think I have ever dealt with a better company and I would recommend them to anyone, plus I love the windows. Anlin is the name brand.

  8. They turned a daunting experience into fantastic results. We called Brian to get quotes on some new windows and some wall damage that we thought was minor. Brian explained the process and sold us that they could do the job well for a good price. When Sergio and the team arrived, we were immediately impressed by their professionalism and top quality work. They replaced all of the windows extremely fast. Then they jumped into the two hard projects - we needed one window converted into a wall, which seemed really hard, but they made it look really easy and they made it look like there was never a window there in the first place. Then, they turned to the water damaged wall and sadly it became evident that it was going to be a much bigger project than we originally anticipated. It was scary, but Brian and Sergio walked us through what needed to happen and they explained everything so perfectly. It turned out that we needed to replace the entire exterior wall in that room and they worked so hard to get it done in a timely manner and by the end, we couldn't have been more happy. They were just amazing and the price was extremely fair. We had nothing but amazing experiences with them!

  9. I chose Bryan and his company after receiving a referral from a friend who was a previous customer. I was thoroughly impressed by his honesty and hard work ethic. I was only in the market to remodel my grandmother's house but after we upgraded all the windows there my mother decided to also use Bryan. We are both very happy customers. I would highly recommend Bryan and his company to anyone looking to replace their windows. My mom said she was mad after the install. I said what's wrong ? She said I should have done this 10 years ago. Don't make that same mistake. You will recoup your savings in less heating and cooling costs in no time. Bryan and his workers installed everything in a couple days. The neighbors to both of our houses are now asking us for Bryan's card after the finished product.
